I’m currently at the IBM Power System Technical University conference in Las Vegas. Originally I wasn’t going … but a scheduling problem with another person in my office came up and I got tagged to pinch hit for him. So far the conference is going well … although I’m only here for the “Solution Center” […]

Well, another COMMON Conference & Annual Meeting is in the bag. I’m currently at my departure gate in Orlando Airport and I figured this is a great time to make a post (especially since they have free wifi). My current, totally unscientific, impression is that attendance was up. I’ve heard other people, including COMMON officers, […]

Board of Directors Elections
Presenting Sessions

Today I was honored by the COMMON organization with it’s highest award … the Distinguished Service Award. Although I did have a slight inkling that something was in the works … due to a flub by Anne Lucas in the mailing list … I really wasn’t prepared for it. I was presented with the award […]

For those of you who have been paying attention, midrange.com was nominated for a System i Innovation Award in the Community Support category. While we didn’t win the award (Trevor Perry of angustheitchap.com won), it was quite an honor to be a finalist. It certainly shows that people have noticed, and appreciate, the work that […]
